The Volusia County Ravens, INC. an adult minor league football program developed to give players more than just another shot at football, but in life. The Ravens provides an opportunity for the players to pursue higher education and help turn their lives around. The teams will be comprised of men and women 17 years and older from various backgrounds, and people who reside in cities in and surrounding the Volusia County area.

     The purpose of the organization is help Volusia County clean the streets as well as to bridge the gap between youth and young adulthood for high school senior that does have the qualifications or ability to go off to college by instructing and playing top quality football, while positively developing our neighborhoods and communities at the same time. Additionally the organization will promote the development of leadership, character, sportsmanship, tolerance, discipline, and athletic ability. The organization will nurture fitness, volunteer, and a lifelong love of sports in the community. The Ravens organization will encourage and help those individuals who do not have a college education to go to back to school and share in the dream of academic and athletic excellence.

     To strengthen the Volusia County Ravens relationship with the community, the organization will participate in a mentoring program for at risk youth; by accomplishing a minimum of one (3) community service activity annually, and manage a scholarship program for local individuals seeking a college degree.

      The Volusia County Ravens Organization will field a traveling team in men tackle football. The Ravens organization maintains connections and good relationships with Professional Organization such as: NFL, CFL, AFL, AF2, IFL and many others.

     The Ravens is recognized as a nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible. Our goal for 2009-2010 is to obtain corporate sponsorships that will enable us to fulfill our quest for the Ravens to gain national and international recognition through our success on the field, our success as an organization, and fulfill our commitment to the local community
